The chat goes quiet.
Everything else stays open.

Select Telegram, start a session or set a routine for when you study, and only Telegram locks. Notes, other messaging, and study apps keep working normally.

Telegram group chats and channels rarely go quiet on their own, and a study session is exactly where that constant low buzz costs the most. If Telegram specifically is the app that turns a planned hour of studying into checking three different groups, and the rest of your phone is fine, blocking everything is more than the problem calls for. Fella lets you select just Telegram and leave the rest of your phone alone.

Select Telegram, leave the rest

Selection in Fella is per app. Choose Telegram on its own and leave notes, other messaging, and any study apps you rely on completely untouched.

Start a manual session for one sitting, or build a routine for the days and hours you study regularly so the block starts itself without a decision each time.

Why Telegram specifically breaks a study session

Group chats and channels don't pause for anyone. A large group can generate a steady stream of notifications that has nothing to do with anything urgent, and each one reads as something that might be worth a glance. Blocking the app removes that constant pull rather than relying on ignoring notifications one at a time.

One way through, if something real comes up

Each session includes one 5-minute emergency unlock, for the rare case a class group or study channel genuinely needs a reply mid-session. When the five minutes end, Telegram locks again automatically for the rest of the session.

If it's more than just Telegram

If social media, games, or general phone use is also part of the problem, not just Telegram, see our broader block apps while studying guide. For blocking Telegram beyond study time as well, see how to block Telegram on iPhone.
