Fella is built to help you block distracting apps and keep emergency access limited. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information You Provide

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your email address, account details, and messages you send to support. If you contact us, we may keep your message, email address, and any details you include so we can respond and troubleshoot.

App Blocking Information

Fella uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks, including FamilyControls and ManagedSettings, to let you choose apps, categories, and web domains to block. Your selections are used to provide the blocking feature, restore your setup, and enforce the one emergency unlock per day rule.

Where possible, Fella keeps blocking configuration and unlock state on your device or in Apple-controlled system frameworks. We do not use your blocked app selections for advertising or sell them to anyone.

Subscription Information

Fella+ subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may provide us with subscription status information, such as whether your subscription is active, expired, in a trial, or eligible for access. We do not receive your full payment card number or Apple ID password.

Device and Usage Information

We may process basic technical information needed to operate and improve Fella, such as app version, device type, iOS version, crash information, subscription status, and feature state. We keep this focused on running the app, diagnosing issues, and preventing abuse.

How We Use Information

  • To provide app blocking, app selection, and emergency unlock features.
  • To create and maintain your account, if account access is used.
  • To verify subscription status and provide Fella+ access.
  • To respond to support requests and fix technical problems.
  • To protect Fella from fraud, misuse, security issues, and unauthorized access.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your blocked app list for advertising.
  • We do not collect your full App Store payment card details.
  • We do not build social feeds, public profiles, or user leaderboards.

Service Providers

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate Fella, such as authentication, hosting, customer support, subscription validation, analytics, crash reporting, and security services. These providers are only allowed to use information to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately.

Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, legal process, or a valid government request. We may also disclose information to protect the rights, safety, and security of Fella, our users, or others.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the app, maintaining subscription access, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal requirements. Support emails may be retained for a reasonable period so we can track and resolve issues.

Your Choices

You can stop using Fella at any time. You can manage Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings and manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscriptions. You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us.

Children

Fella is intended for users who can manage their own device and App Store subscriptions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

International Users

If you use Fella outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
