The feed waits.
The work doesn’t stop for it.

Select the social apps that pull you away, start a session before a deep work block, and only those apps lock. Calendar, notes, and other work tools keep working normally.

A feed has no natural stopping point, which makes it one of the easiest categories to lose a deep work block to, a few seconds at a time. If social apps specifically are where your attention drifts, and the task itself doesn't need them, blocking them removes that option before the block even starts.

Select the apps, leave the rest

Selection in Fella is per app. Choose the social apps you actually reach for and leave calendar, notes, and any other work tools completely untouched.

Start a manual session right before a deep work block, or build a routine for the hours you protect regularly so the block starts itself without a decision each time.

One way through, if something real comes up

Each session includes one 5-minute emergency unlock, enough to check something specific that genuinely can't wait. When the five minutes end, the selected apps lock again automatically for the rest of the session.

If it's more than just social media

If other apps are also part of the same deep work problem, see our broader setting up a deep work block page. For the research behind why interruptions cost so much, see the deep work app blocker page. For one specific app, see Reddit or X.
