How to block Binance
on iPhone

Use Screen Time for a basic limit, Downtime for scheduled hours, or an iPhone app blocker if the habit is reopening Binance to check charts or positions, without deleting your account.

You can block Binance on iPhone without deleting your account. Use Screen Time App Limits for a daily allowance, Downtime for a scheduled block, or a dedicated blocker when the pattern is reopening the app repeatedly, not one long session. This page is about the checking pattern, not trading or investment advice.

Binance shows live charts, order books, and position status the instant you open it. Combined with price alerts that can prompt another look right after you close the app, that makes it easy to check many times a day, especially during volatile hours. A daily time limit rarely catches this pattern, since each check-in is short even when there are many of them.

Use Screen Time to limit Binance

1. Open Settings, then tap Screen Time. If needed, turn on App & Website Activity. Tap App Limits, then Add Limit.

2. Select Binance. Choose the app, tap Next, set the daily allowance, then tap Done. Selecting Binance on its own avoids sharing a limit with other apps you still need.

3. Watch how the limit actually gets used. A short allowance spent across a dozen quick glances never feels like it triggers the way one long session would. iPhone shows a Screen Time limit screen once the allowance runs out, but an App Limit can be ignored by default.

If Binance still opens, check this first

Check that the App Limit applies to Binance itself. Open Settings > Screen Time > App Limits, tap the rule, and confirm Binance is selected and the days are correct.

Do not confuse an override with a failed limit. If you see an Ignore Limit option, the limit has triggered as designed. See how to stop ignoring Screen Time limits if tapping through has become automatic.

Count check-ins, not minutes. If you open Binance more than a handful of separate times during work or focus hours, frequency is the thing worth restricting, not session length.

Use Downtime for scheduled blocks

Downtime blocks most apps during a scheduled period. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Downtime, choose Scheduled, and set the days and hours. This suits a market-checking habit better than a time limit, since it removes the app entirely during the hours you're trying to stay focused, such as a work block.

Turn on Block at Downtime for a real scheduled block. Apple lets Downtime show a reminder by default; with Block at Downtime enabled, restricted apps cannot open during that period. Apps in Always Allowed remain available, so review that list if Binance is not behaving as expected.

Focus Mode does not stop Binance from opening. It can reduce notifications and visual cues, but it does not block the app itself.

Approach Good for Weak point
Delete Binance Removes immediate access on this iPhone. Loses convenient access to your own account setup; most people don't want this.
Screen Time app limit Basic limits and awareness. Measures total time, not the number of times you reopen the app, and you can choose Ignore Limit.
Fella Blocking Binance by default between windows. Built for one 5-minute emergency unlock per session, not open-ended checking.

When a dedicated Binance blocker makes sense

A dedicated blocker is useful when the habit is repeated checking rather than one long session. Because each glance is short, a daily time limit rarely triggers before the pattern repeats. A default-off rule removes the option to open the app between the windows you choose, which addresses the checking habit directly during the hours you want to stay focused. If you're still comparing options, see our iPhone app-blocking options.

With Fella, add Binance to the apps you want blocked. It stays unavailable by default while the apps you did not select remain accessible.

Use the emergency unlock only for a specific need. Each blocking session includes one 5-minute emergency unlock, enough time to check something specific. When the five minutes end, Binance locks again automatically.

That is the trade-off. Fella is for stronger friction against the checking habit itself, not flexible daily minutes, and it has no visibility into your positions or trades.

Who this is for

People who open Binance many times a day just to check charts or positions. If your Screen Time report shows a low average session length but a high number of opens, that's the pattern Fella is built to interrupt.

People who still need occasional access. The emergency unlock gives you a window to check something specific without leaving the app reachable all day.

People who've already tried app limits. If "Ignore Limit" became automatic, or the limit never triggers because each visit is too short, a harder default during focus hours is the next step.
