The set ends when you say it does.
Not when a notification does.

Select the apps that pull you out of a workout, start a session for the length of your training, and only those apps lock. Your fitness tracker, music, or podcast app can stay open.

A phone checked between sets or during a run rarely stays a quick check, and the rest breaks that follow tend to eat more time than the notification itself. This isn't about blocking your phone from your workout, it's about blocking the specific apps that turn rest periods into scroll sessions while the apps you're actually using to train stay untouched.

Keep the workout apps, lock the rest

Selection in Fella is per app. Leave your fitness tracker, music, or podcast app unselected, and choose the apps that actually pull you out of a session, social feeds, games, messaging you don't need mid-set.

Start a manual session set to the length of your workout, and it holds until the session ends, no timer to watch and nothing to remember to switch off afterward.

Why rest periods are the real risk, not the exercise itself

Nobody scrolls mid-rep. The actual risk window is the pause between sets or the stretch of a longer cardio session, exactly the moments a phone naturally comes out "just to check the time," and exactly where a notification turns a 60-second rest into five minutes.

One way through, if something real comes up

Each session includes one 5-minute emergency unlock, for the rare case something genuinely needs attention mid-workout. When the five minutes end, the selected apps lock again automatically for the rest of the session.

If this is part of a bigger routine

If exercise is one piece of a larger morning routine, not a standalone session, see our block apps during your morning routine page for covering the whole stretch at once. For the mechanics behind scheduling a standing workout time, see how Fella routines work.
