Weekdays gone. Weekends
untouched. Your call.

A Fella routine can run on exactly the days you pick, not just every day or none. Set a weekday routine, a weekend routine, or any custom pattern, and each one starts and relocks itself without you opening the app.

Most weeks do not have one shape. Work apps matter Monday to Friday and not at all on Saturday. A schedule that only understands “on” or “off” forces you to either loosen it for the whole week or give up the days you actually wanted free. A weekly schedule fixes that by letting the block follow the week instead of ignoring it.

Pick the days, not just the hours

A routine can be set to any combination of days: every day, weekdays only, weekends only, or something more specific like Tuesday and Thursday evenings for a class or a standing commitment. The start and end time can differ from routine to routine as well.

Once it is set, it runs on its own. A weekday routine does not need to be re-enabled every Monday, and it will not accidentally carry into Saturday unless you set it to.

Run more than one at a time

Routines are independent of each other. A weekday-morning routine blocking social apps and a separate Friday-evening-through-Monday routine blocking a different set of apps can both exist without conflicting, since each one has its own days, hours, and app selection.

That makes it possible to match the actual shape of a week instead of settling for one flat rule. Related: block apps during work for the weekday case specifically, and how Fella routines work for the full mechanism behind all of this.

Same rule, every day it runs

Whichever days a routine covers, each session it starts gets exactly one 5-minute emergency unlock. A Monday session and a Saturday session both work the same way: use the five minutes if something genuinely needs attention, and the selected apps lock again automatically once it ends.

Building a weekly schedule that actually fits

Start with the days that clearly need one rule. If work apps distract you Monday to Friday and not on weekends, that is one routine, not five separate ones.

Add a second routine only where the week genuinely splits. A weekend-specific block, a class-night block, or a Sunday-evening wind-down are all cases where a second, differently-scoped routine fits better than stretching the first one to cover everything.

Leave room for a plain manual session. Not every distraction fits a weekly pattern. For a one-off day that does not match your usual schedule, starting a session manually still works exactly the same way, with the same single emergency unlock.
