You can block Firefox on iPhone without deleting it, using Screen Time App Limits for a daily allowance, Downtime for a scheduled block, or a dedicated blocker for default-off access. The real question is whether Firefox is the only browser you'd fall back on.
A Firefox-only block has an obvious escape route: any other browser on the phone. iPhone ships with Safari by default, and Chrome or Edge can be added freely from the App Store. If the habit is opening a browser to fall into a reading, search, or scroll rabbit hole, closing off Firefox specifically doesn't touch that habit if another browser is one tap away.
1. Open Settings, then tap Screen Time. If needed, turn on App & Website Activity. Tap App Limits, then Add Limit.
2. Select Firefox, and any other browser you actually use. Choose Firefox, tap Next, set the daily allowance, then tap Done. Add Safari, Chrome, or Edge to the same limit if a rabbit hole in one is just as likely in another.
3. Know what happens after the limit hits. iPhone shows a Screen Time limit screen once the allowance is used, but an App Limit can be ignored by default, and it leaves any browser you didn't include fully open.
Check which browsers are installed. Look through the App Library or Settings for Safari, Chrome, Edge, Brave, or anything else. Each needs its own entry in your limit or block.
Notice the switch, not just the Firefox usage. If closing Firefox at a limit is reliably followed by opening a different browser, that's the actual pattern worth restricting, not Firefox specifically.
