ChirpFinder Privacy Policy

ChirpFinder helps you locate repeating smoke and carbon monoxide detector chirps. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the ChirpFinder iPhone app.

Microphone audio

ChirpFinder analyzes microphone input on your iPhone while you are actively listening for a chirp. Raw microphone audio is not recorded, saved, transmitted, or uploaded. Audio analysis stops when listening stops or the app leaves the foreground.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. ChirpFinder uses RevenueCat to confirm purchase status and restore access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase status, product identifier, transaction information, and limited device or diagnostic information needed to provide purchase functionality. ChirpFinder does not receive your full payment-card details.

Information we do not collect

ChirpFinder has no account system, advertising, location tracking, or third-party analytics. It does not upload microphone recordings or sell personal information.

Data retention and sharing

ChirpFinder does not retain raw audio. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies and as needed to provide and restore your purchase. Information is shared only with Apple and RevenueCat for purchase processing and entitlement management, or when legally required.

Children

ChirpFinder is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can revoke microphone access at any time in iPhone Settings. You can contact us with a privacy request at [email protected].

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
